Focaccia Bread (preparation) by U.Larosa

It’s really easy to make and very cheap too.

SHOT 1: To make the dough you need:
350g of flour, 8g dry yeast (or fresh one), 4 tablespoons of olive oil, water (as much as needed, will all come clear as you read the recipe) and one hand (funny saying one hand, but the dough does not require much work), one teaspoon of salt (to be added at the end).
Put the yeast in a bit of water, just to dissolve the yeast. DO NOT PUT ANY SALT IN YET, salt will not allow the dough to rise (proof).

SHOT 2: With a spatulas, start mixing the flour, the olive oil and the yeast. Now you will need to add water in order to keep the dough very wet.  Please do not worry about the dough being too wet, it need lots of water (this is not a normal pizza or bread dough).

SHOT 3: Transfer the dough onto a tray (wooden is better), and put olive oil on the tray to get the dough moist (so it’s not too sticky).

SHOT 4: NOW YOU CAN USE YOUR 1 HAND, start mixing the dough by moving your hand in a circular motion.  Look for little pieces of yeast that might be still stuck together and try to dissolve them. The dough does not require much work, YOU CAN NOW ADD THE SALT. A quick mix and your dough is ready.

SHOT 5: You can now put the dough in a bowl and cover with cling film. It only needs to proof for 4hrs. This is something that you can make in the morning and then bake in the afternoon for dinner.
